GEP Grant and Gift Announcements

The Grinnell Education Partnership is pleased to announce a recent grant award from an anonymous donor in the amount of $96,000 over three years. This grant will be a large and integral contribution to GEP's work to help children and families in the Grinnell area.

Grant funds will be used to provide capacity building supports in several local community organizations. This capacity building work advances the idea that the entire community must support children, families and schools.

In addition to this generous grant, Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance has also committed $10,000 per year for three years as a local match for the grant award, and many private donations have been given to support the project. Barb Baker, Director of Advertising and Community Relations, shared,

“Grinnell Mutual has been involved in the program since its inception six years ago and we are pleased to continue providing this financial assistance. The Partnership supports several community education initiatives that positively affect the lives of young people in the Grinnell-Newburg School District. Our company recognizes that strong educational programs are the foundation of a strong community. In turn, we can all benefit from The Grinnell Education Partnership.”

We are excited to keep you abreast of the great work that this funding will make possible over the next few years.
